What you will be doing: 

Perform analysis and completes written annual reviews for commercial loans using the information on JOVIA’s loan files and lending systems, the current information submitted by the borrowers, and other third party proprietary and public information available. Evaluates risks as required by the Business Lending Policy and reports the same to the appropriate lending authorities. Collect current financial information from borrowers as required by the Business Lending Policy and original loan documents, and retrieve relevant credit, legal, and collateral information from available sources. Conduct site visits, or order and review third party site visit reports for commercial loans at least once a year as required by the Business Lending Policy. Maintain borrower contact via site visits, telephone & email to ensure a high level of rapport and personal involvement with each borrower. Assist in soliciting sale of MBL participation interests to the direct participation partners and through MBL participation brokers. Review MBL participation purchase opportunities from direct participation relationships and brokers. Obtain the MBL purchase packages and conduct an independent credit analysis of the MBL purchase opportunities which will be submitted to the appropriate lending authorities for review and decisioning. Perform credit underwriting and/or annual review services for the clients of Jovia Commercial Lending LLC (CUSO) outsourcing services.  Participate in the watch list and loan workout meetings and provides an opinion on the risk and action plans to mitigate losses.

What we need from you:

College degree in business related subjects preferred with a minimum of one year of experience in commercial lending / credit analysis Individual must function with minimum supervision, have a positive attitude, and impart a team player mentality. Have excellent organizational and time management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines. The incumbent should be detail oriented, have an aptitude for figures and function Computer literacy in word processing, online research, database and spreadsheet programs. Working knowledge of Loan Servicing and Loan Origination software helpful. Proficient in math and calculations related to lending. Well versed in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
