The Commercial Manager is responsible for developing a commercial strategy covering all segments and channels to maximize total revenue and profit performance as well as market share penetration of the hotel.
What will I be doing?
As a Commercial Manager you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Responsible for planning and executing the business strategy with support from Revenue Management, Catering and Events, Marketing, E-Commerce, and PR teams.
\n· Be responsible for F&B commercial activities together with the F&B Manager and GM.
\n· Acts as a role model for the commercial community within the owned and managed portfolio in Hilton EMEA.
\n· Develops teams and individuals within these functions while being a key business partner to the Hotel General Manager.
\n· Seeks new opportunities through strong customer relationships, serving as an Ambassador for the hotel.
\n· Ensures commercial management strategies are set for all revenue streams, using systems to maximize revenue from all available spaces (Rooms, Meeting Spaces, outlets, etc.).
\n· Drives Financial results by executing commercial activities efficiently.
\n· Leads, coaches, develops, recruits, and retains future talents within the commercial team. Manages performance and evaluates team members based on agreed KPIs.
\n· Directly accountable for driving the Top line Budget and Forecast by implementing a commercial strategy and business plan using Hilton Commercial Focus process and available tools.
\n· Responsible for delivering budgeted revenues across all revenue streams: Rooms, GC&E, F&B, Leisure, while controlling cost of sale, route to market, channel shift, and marketing/Ecommerce opportunities.
\n· Collaborates with GM, Finance, and Regional Director to ensure profits are maximized in line with TGOP and EBITDA targets.
\n· Ensures Business Review Guidelines, Pricing & Rate Quotation Strategies are in place to maximize sales and catering opportunities, achieving positive hotel market share.
\n· Supports On Property, RDOS’s, and Area Marketing teams in coordinating hotel-level marketing, sales, and public relations activities.
\n· Liaises with regional support and brand teams to provide maximum benefit to hotel performance.
\n· Develops and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, owners, hotel teams, and Hilton matrix support teams for commercial benefits.
\n· Works with the Regional Commercial team, presenting commercial strategies. Participates in leadership activities of the Hotel and Region.
\n· Ensures consistent adherence to Hilton brand standards and corporate identity, utilizing communication tools as guided by regional marketing and BPS.
\n· Stays updated on market trends, reviewing and amending strategies to align with evolving market conditions.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and skills:
\n\nMinimum of 3+ years’ experience in hospitality industry in a revenue generating or commercial service role.\nExperience in an international hotel chain, preferably Hilton.\nAt least 3 years of experience managing a sales or commercial team.\nExperience working in a collaborative/matrixed environment.\nKnowledge in working with departmental financial data to make strategic/tactical decisions.\nExperience in evaluating and identifying business opportunities.\nFluent in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written.\nGood communication, organization and presentation skills\n
