About the role:
Lead, manage & develop the Commercial Planning & Activation team to drive profitable growth of SBL’s RTDs and CSD portfolio by:
Building and implementing robust trade and commercial strategies/tactics to deliver incremental growth improvements for our RTD and CSD brands in line with business strategy.Effectively Managing the capacity & capabilities of field sales to deliver SBL value share via brilliant market execution of all commercial activitiesLeading the creation of impactful commercial launch plans for Innovations within the RTD and CSD category.Role Responsibilities:
Capability Building
Coaching and develop towards ensuring the team have both the capacity and capability to lead the brilliant executions of RTD and CSD commercial activities.Contribute to the overall development of the capability & capacity of the sales function on RTD and CSD Strategies/ Executions.Build alignment and create clear ways of working with other functionsCategory & Channel Value Creation
Lead category performance conversations to affect positive change and growthLead the sales driver activation plans for input into the commercial trade strategy Contribute to the category Marketing Business Plans (Marketing)Guide category teams on strategic decisions via analysis and insights.Input to Categories S&OP volume Planning, QBR and Game planningDeveloping and providing the selling concepts (driving customer proposition) that enables divisional sales teams to secure customer support for SBL activities.Brilliant Execution:
Build a 30-60-90 rolling activation plan for our key brands & customersEnsure that Commercial activitie's calendar, planning and timings are such that field sales capacity and capability are efficiently appliedd.Develop best in class commercial strategies, plans, and commercial toolkits for effective growth.Accurately forecast for innovation brands (both bottom up as well as top-down forecasts) in line with the Innovation pipeline process.Apply powerful customer and shopper insights to innovations projects to ensure success.Lead the implementation of all key platforms and activations.Ensure customer/3rd Space commitments are secured within agreed lead times.Budget Effectiveness and Stewardship.
Guide tactical investment of BTL A&P and Trade Spend behind Sales & Category drivers to improve Return on Investment (value).Controls
Ensure Planned Activities are consistently aligned with DMC guidelines. Drives full compliance to Diageo COBCPre and Post activity evaluations are done in line with standard M&E policy guidelinesCommercial/Trade spends are consistent with guidelines and done efficiently to drive Incremental growth in MS Volume and Value.*Spends Minimum 30% of time in the trade

NSV, Volume, Share (volume & value) & Sales Drivers Targets (QDVP3) versus competition.Activities success rate & CM budget effectiveness, Capability building and cross- functional effectiveness.Experience / skills required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Business or MarketingA proven track record of building and leading high performing Sales teams and achievement of stretching goals.An in-depth knowledge of the sales environment and people developmentFunctional
A strong track record in field sales & customer marketing experience.Able to mentor others in Insights, Sales Drivers, Outlet Segmentation and Managing Relationships.Strong Creative and Solution oriented mind set.Good understanding of Commercial finance and return on investment optimizationGreat Planner and result driven executorA good people manager for great business performanceBarriers to Success
