Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility, Inc. Rolling Stock is seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager Director with a proven track record of successfully leading international, sophisticated projects. As the Commercial Project Manager Director, you will oversee a large multi-billion-dollar complex Trainset project spanning 8-10 years. Your responsibilities will encompass commercial project execution across various phases, including planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, and customer acceptance. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all commercial matters with the end customer. Additionally, you’ll collaborate closely with operational departments to achieve Order Income Calculation targets while ensuring customer satisfaction, cost control, adherence to schedules, and high-quality deliverables. The role also involves fulfilling the World Project Controller function to maintain financial compliance at the global project reporting level. Reporting to the Director of Financial Business Administration (FBA), you’ll provide critical support to the Project Manager in all aspects of the project.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Monitor and manage the financial performance of assigned projects. Anticipate changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and develop cost-effective contingency plans. Supervise and control project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables, aligning them with business goals. Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders. Assist the Project Manager in developing and delivering monthly project reports, customer progress reports, change proposals, and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders. Coach, mentor, empower, and supervise project team members and contractors, fostering positive action and accountability. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Assist with customer sales channel activities.To thrive in this role, you have:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (preferred). Industry Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience related to the rolling stock industry is helpful. The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA, is $143,600- $194,400 and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary.
