Our client is looking for a Commercial Project manager to be based at their Head Office in Johannesburg north The successful candidate will be responsible for both Internal / External and understand the organizations aims and objectives

Duties/Responsibilities
Provide commercial support to enhance project profitability and margins
Assist engineers with client contract negotiations especially commercial aspects
Support OD with basic reviewing of project contracts subconsultant contracts intercompany agreements etc
Align business processes across departments ie electrical mechanical etc
Facilitate the delivery of multidisciplinary projects within the group
Ensuring that standards and quality management system are adhered to on multidisciplinary projects
Quality and risk management of multidisciplinary projects
Project planning Management of time & cost on multidisciplinary projects
Develop and manage financial reports for forecasting trending and results analysis for multidisciplinary projects
Support the OD and HODs with resource planning forward workload
Responsible for productivity reporting on projects
Support OD with Order Book management aged debtor collecting
Auditing of projects
Developing and maintaining a management system for the monitoring and follow up on highlighted matters
Diligently and proactively following up on delegated matters deadlines target dates etc
Carrying out background research and presenting findings
Producing documents briefing papers reports and presentations
Support Property Marketing and Business Development Management Team which would include attendance at business related networking functions client functions
Presentations on the companies capabilities to clients
Preparation of multidisciplinary bids financial proposals
Standardizing templates used within the different business units and ensure uniformity
Screening correspondence which may include emails and handling them when appropriate including the delegation to other staff members
Meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority
Liaising with clients suppliers and other staff
Devising and maintaining office systems including data management etc
To provide general assistance during presentations
Taking on some of the managers responsibilities and working more closely with management
Being innovative and taking initiate in supporting management in the execution of general tasks wrt Office management Human Resource Management Financial Management and Control Cost Control and Project Management
Preparation of project proposals quotations and bid documents
Development of winning proposals by constructing nontechnical sections and coordinating technical financial and strategic inputs by engaging with key contributors across the business

Requirements
Professional university degree from a recognised educational preferably a Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager qualification open for discussion
Advanced Microsoft Office Skills/Training
Minimum of 5 years experience in Engineering / Property Industry
Must have very good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
Accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Word MS PowerPoint and MS Excel

Salary Market related based on qualifications and experience
