Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is seeking to fill a Commercial Project Manager / Project Controller – Wreck Repair (CPM) to be responsible for all commercial aspects related to a customer contract (“Project”) starting with the sales phase up to the end of the complete project execution phase. The CPM is fully responsible for financial and commercial management (contract, costs, revenue, and cash flow) throughout the project execution phase. This encompasses sales controlling, performance measurement, planning, forecasting, reporting, customer negotiations, project team leadership and risk and opportunity management. The primary contacts for the CPM include Customers, Suppliers, Project Managers/ Engineers, Procurement, Legal Department, Operational Review, other Commercial Project Managers, Heads of local Finance & Business Administration, internal and external Auditors, and central Financial Services. This will be a hybrid position for our facility in McClellan Park, CA.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Ensure proper financial project set up including WBS structure or Sales Orders in line with agreed budget and company internal contractual arrangements. Set up and closely monitor revenue recognition: actual vs plan, degree of completion, cost to complete, total forecasted costs vs planned. Ensure full compliance of revenue and cost recognition with Siemens accounting policies under US-GAAP / IFRS, as well as overall compliance with internal controls, i.e. Sarbanes-Oxley, export control, signature authorities.Support the responsible Project Manager on change management issues.Constantly assess risks and opportunity and their impact either in the risk register and/or in the gross margin and propose measures to prevent negative margin slippage due to risks that could have been avoided.Support Project Managers in timely issuing invoices with strong focus on managing Account Receivables and project cash flow.Influence team to take positive action and accountability for the assigned work.Ensures the compliance with the LoA guidelines for all commercial and internal regulations aspects.Represents the project in the relevant decision boards internally and externally (when authorized by Manager).Acts according to the Business Conduct Guidelines and establishes a culture of trust and integrity.Collaborate with different departments to achieve project goals.To thrive in this role, you have:
Bachelor's degree required, with a major in Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting preferred,3+ years of successful Finance/Commercial Project Management experience including financial planning, accounting, finance, cost management, revenue and cashflow managementAdvanced analytical abilities and strong Microsoft Excel skills,Knowledge of ERP systems,Strong business modeling skillsExcellently demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organizationWhy you'll love working for Siemens!

The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $119,900-$140,900 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
