The purpose of this job is to perform pre-closing reviews of documents prepared by central document preparation. This includes reviewing real estate, multiple collateral commercial, security, compliance and related correspondence for completeness and accuracy while also ensuring all documentation is in accordance with the loan application. Additionally, this position will ensure all documents are prepared in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws. This job requires the ability to proficiently review loans for one or more market areas and communicate necessary changes to Commercial Document Preparation Specialists.

 

Level II Overview:

The purpose of this job is to review (prior to closing) CDP prepared real estate, multiple collateral, agribusiness, SBA Express and 7A, simple loan modification requests and other complex commercial loan, security, and compliance documents and related correspondence for completeness and accuracy in accordance with the application and to insure compliance with state and federal laws and Trustmark policies and procedures. In addition, this position will serve as a Document Prep/QC Manager’s designee for the review of CDP prepared loans of $1,000,000 or more. This job requires the ability to proficiently review documents for three or more market areas and communicate necessary changes to Commercial Document Preparation Specialists.

 

Level III Overview:

The purpose of this job is to review (prior to closing) CDP prepared real estate, multiple collateral, agribusiness, SBA Express and 7A, all loan modification requests and other complex commercial loan, security, and compliance documents and related correspondence for completeness and accuracy in accordance with the application and to insure compliance with state and federal laws and Trustmark policies and procedures; answer questions from Commercial Document QC Specialists I and II; and assist in the training of new Commercial Document QC Specialists I and II and MDA personnel. In addition, this position will serve as a Document Prep/QC Manager’s designee for the review of CDP prepared loans of $1,000,000 or more. This job requires the ability to proficiently review documents for all market areas and communicate necessary changes to Commercial Document Preparation Specialists.

 

 

 

Responsibilities Review and interpret loan applications and related data to determine collateral classifications and to ensure appropriate documents are prepared to perfect lien.Review CDP prepared commercial loans, including all real estate, security, and compliance documents for accuracy, completeness, adherence to perfection, compliance guidelines of applicable state and federal laws and bank policy and procedures.Determine if deed of trust/mortgage is prepared in accordance with vested ownership of real property.Determine appropriate repayment and rate language in non-standard documents prepared by CDP.Determine type of security agreement needed based on type of collateral.Determine appropriate filing locations for UCCs based on collateral and entity type.Deliver prepared loan documents to Lenders and/or attorneys for closing via email or electronic signature.Perform other duties as assigned.

Level II Additional Responsibilities:

Review (prior to closing) CDP prepared real estate, multiple collateral, agribusiness, SBA Express and 7A, simple loan modification requests and other complex commercial loan, security, and compliance documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to perfection, and compliance guidelines of applicable state and federal laws and bank policy and proceduresDeliver prepared loan documents to Lenders and/or attorneys for closing via internal email or utilizing SecureMail procedures and communicate specific closing instructions to LendersPerform additional duties as assigned.

 

Level III Additional Responsibilities:

Answer questions from and assist in the training of Commercial Document QC Specialists I and II and MDA personnelPerform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Display strong attention to detail skillsAbility to effectively manage time and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environmentDisplay strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsProvide excellent customer service skills Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office and other document management type softwareTwo-year college education preferredOne year work experience in a document quality control role preferredKnowledge of real estate, multiple types of commercial collateral, security, and lien perfection requirements preferredKnowledge of loan compliance regulations preferredKnowledge of business entity structures preferred

Level II Additional Qualifications:

Junior college/two-year college training

High School/GED and 5 years job related experience
Knowledge of commercial real estate and multiple collateral types, security, and lien perfection requirements (4 years)
Knowledge of loan compliance regulations (4 years)
Ability to proficiently communicate applied collateral/loan policy/regulation/compliance knowledge to co-workers
Organizational skills

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
