SCOPE OF ROLE
The Commercial Sales Training Manager position is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs that enhances the skills and performance of our sales team aligned with company strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales management and coaching, and have a deep understanding of our solutions and customers, as they will be responsible for all levels of sales. This role requires a dynamic, strategic thinker with a passion for coaching and a proven track record in sales training and is central to the mission of upscaling our teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate Training Needs: Conduct assessments to identify training needs within the sales team at all levels from new hire to senior management. Ensure a deep understanding of solutions and content to educate our sellers on the most relevant solutions to align with business needs.Coaching and Mentoring: Provide expert guidance to sales management on coaching and mentoring to their for their sales teams to improve performance and team effectiveness. Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to sales management, as applicable.Facilitation Delivery and Quality: Oversee delivery strategy of instructor led programs and ensure quality facilitation and foster a positive learning environment.Audit Training Programs: Audit sales training programs to ensure they align with the company’s strategies and objectives. Collaborate with Instructional Designers and Sales team members, to ensure consistency in commercial training roadmaps. Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze the performance of sales team members pre- and post-training to ensure the effectiveness of learning programs, making data-driven adjustments for continuous improvement. Innovation: Maintain a deep understanding on sales techniques, industry trends, vendor programs, sales tools, and systems to bring innovative solutions that are aligned with strategy.Minimum Requirements:
Experience: 5-7 years’ experience in sales training and coaching, preferably in a senior sales role.Education: BA/BS in Business, Marketing or equivalent professional experience with demonstrated results. A master’s degree is a plus.Skills: Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques.Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills to lead teams. Track record of delivering best-in-class training, both face-to-face and virtualProven experience to lead, motivate, and inspire teams to drive transformation at all sales levels.Strong problem solving, time management and organization skills.Proficiency in using training and sales software and tools.Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.Flexibility to adapt with the demands of the business to align with evolving strategy.Certifications: Relevant certifications in sales training or coaching are a plus.Travel: Up to 25-30% global travelBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Coverage
