Commercial Support Specialist

 

 

A Day in the Life:

Reporting to the Plant Administration Supervisor, the Commercial Support Specialist provides key support activities to oil seed value chain with local commercial activities such as local oilseed origination, truck meal sales, and plant logistics coordination. This position supports commodity purchase settlements, preparation of load orders for products, seed inventory position verification, logistics coordination with producers that advance Bunge's customer/farmer focus.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Act as a liaison to the Plant Administrative Supervisor Ensure that all plant commodity purchases and receipts are properly controlled, applied, and settled as per the producer’s instructions. Communicate with grain producers on a regular basis to collect detailed payment instructions. Manage and control local commodity related expenses such as freight and hauling. Coordinate the gathering of documentation requested by various internal/external audits, specifically in regard to SOX narratives. Complete a variety of AP tasks including daily local cheque runs, EFT payments, and government levy calculations. Provide coverage for logistic reporting. Annual record retention archiving and offsite storage coordination. Maintain Headcount tracking & reporting. Continuous Improvement process reviews & implementation Assist various other departments with administrative tasks. Administrative duties including ordering catering, maintaining stationary supply levels, and answering phones. Troubleshooting issues and payment/application discrepancies, managing internal and external relationships. Focus on being able to solve problems without displaying frustration to customers. Independent and group troubleshooting, adept at various computer systems.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Post-secondary education preferred; high school diploma or equivalency is required. Prior work experience in customer service, both to internal and external stakeholders, 2-5 years of related administration and/or accounting experience preferred. Experience or exposure to agribusiness activities and transactions preferred. Demonstrated problem solving experience and ability to react quickly and make decisions in a rapidly changing environment. Must have ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite skill Exposure to using enterprise business applications such as SAP GTM, SAP Business Warehouse, or comparable commodity applications is an asset. Effective mathematical, written and verbal communication skills are essential. SAP knowledge or quick to learn new software.
