**What is it that we do at Colonial Pipeline Company?**
Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.
**About the Commercial Transmix Manager Position**
As the Commercial Transmix Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of Colonial Pipeline’s transmix and surplus product inventories. This position will coordinate the integration of operations and commercial activities of any newly developed or acquired assets and assist in the development and implementation of the company’s commercial strategy. New business opportunities include businesses synergistic to Colonial’s pipeline system and the expansion of existing business and assets. The Commercial Transmix Manager responsibilities may include the commercialization of existing company assets including storage, terminals, and marine assets, and the development of any new business opportunities associated with those assets.
**What You Get to Do:**
+ Responsible for the commercial management of Colonial Pipeline’s transmix and surplus inventory sales.
+ Responsibilities may include non-jurisdictional assets (storage, terminal, or marine) commercial development.
+ Coordinate with Operations and other internal teams to evaluate interface reduction or optimization opportunities.
+ Identify and evaluate the economic and strategic potential of existing company assets to generate increased profitability, customer satisfaction and Shareholder value.
+ Prepare and present business plans to manage assets to internal (including Colonial Leadership members) and external stakeholders (including the Colonial Board of Directors) as needed.
+ Complete volume and revenue forecasts based on market knowledge and environmental trends for CPC assets and is accountable for meeting those forecasts.
+ Develop applicable earnings and ROA metrics (KPIs) for CPC assets and set goals for continuous performance improvement.
+ Evaluate, interpret, and effectively communicate market conditions, business drivers, and asset performance to Commercial Affairs and Leadership Team members.
+ Manage jurisdictional and non-jurisdictional business activities and negotiates customer contracts to improve profitability.
+ Routinely develop and deliver presentations to shippers about Colonial service offerings, new projects, and market conditions.
+ Develop and utilize tools that interpret market conditions and potentials in the pipeline and non-pipeline businesses.
**What You Bring to the Table:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.
+ Ideally, 5+ years of experience in asset management and/or business development in the Oil & Energy field and/or Petroleum Logistics.
+ Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
+ Broad understanding of the Oil & Energy field and/or Petroleum Logistics.
+ Working knowledge/understanding of asset optimization strategies.
+ Advanced computer skills including MS Office (emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Ability to build and foster strong working relationships both within the internal organization as well as external to the Colonial organization.
+ Ability to think conceptually or “outside of the box.”
+ Capability to “see the big picture” and able to draw upon his/her knowledge, experience, and understanding of the business environment to create or develop opportunities for new business/broader spectrums that may not necessarily be apparent at first glance.
+ Strong negotiation skills and outstanding verbal and writing skills.
+ Develop proposals for customers, and business cases for internal project approval.
+ Make effective presentations to groups.
+ Strong quantitative acumen with the ability to understand financial modeling and clearly present financial information.
+ Effective communication and flow of information to customers and other employees and displays a commitment to teamwork in daily activities.
+ Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
