Specific Job Responsibilities

Prepare for deliveries by checking the warehouse distribution schedule and planning the most efficient route for travel to designated storesConduct a pre-trip inspection of the delivery truck, ensuring the vehicle is in proper working order before beginning travelEffectively utilize map or navigation technology to travel to designated stores and locations in a timely mannerUtilize our “eLog” app to create, review, and certify daily driver logsSafely travel to designated locations, following all road rules and regulationsCheck and sign delivery invoices or any overage/shortage paperwork with Store or Assistant Manager upon arrival, to confirm successful deliveryAssist store team members with unloading all merchandise and product from the truck and transporting to the store’s stock roomUtilize pallet jacks and trailer lift gates as neededOffer exceptional guest service and assistance to store team members and guests when requiredConduct a post-trip inspection of the delivery truck, ensuring the vehicle is in proper working order, upon return to the Warehouse Distribution CenterEnsure truck is clean and in working order on an ongoing basisOther duties as assigned by your supervisor

Warehouse Responsibilities – All Employees

Follow all ABC safety protocolsPromptly report and clean up spills, breakage, or other issuesLift 35-50-pound casesMaintain minimum productivity standardsAssemble boxes if neededClean, sanitize, and keep warehouse tidyPrepare work area for next dayOther duties as assigned

Job Requirements - Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education

At least 2 years of direct experience driving a Class A truck to transport merchandise to stores, or other truck driving experience that correlates to the retail environmentMust have a current, valid CDL Class A licenseMust be certified to drive a manual vehicle as part of the Class A license - no exceptionsFMCSA medical certification is requiredCandidate must have a positive motor vehicle report without infractionsMust be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsSolid written communication skills to write routine reports and correspondenceShould be able to speak clearly and effectively to individuals and groups of team members, colleagues, and customersAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbersExperienced in carrying out instructions from written, oral, or diagram formDeals with potential challenges or problems quickly and effectivelyOther job-related training and/or certification is a plus.

Warehouse Requirements – All Employees

Physical Requirements - With or Without Accommodations

Must be able to drive a truck including all physical motions involvedMust have visual acuity and wear corrective lenses or glasses if required for good vision.  Vision requirements include close vision (at 20 inches or less), distance vision (at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are neededMust be able to sit in a vehicle for long periods of time while driving Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of productMust be able to reach with hands and arms for product and use hands to work with and feel productAble to move body to access products that are out of reach above or below body levelSense of smell occasionally needed to find damages that may not be visible

Work Environment

The employee will spend a great deal of time in a moving vehicle.The employee may be driving in daylight or night darkness, and possibly in weather-inclement conditions.ABC's company trucks are climate-controlled.During deliveries, drivers will encounter all possible Florida weather conditions, and will move between climate-controlled space to outdoor space in frequent succession.When working at the warehouse, will experience frequent humid conditions: the warehouse is not temperature-controlled. Fans are provided.Moving mechanical parts are frequently used.The employee is frequently exposed to working in high, precarious places (greater than 6ft).There is occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
