Who we’re looking for

Toyota Financial Services/Mazda Financial Services’ Dealer Lending Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Dealer Lending Analyst.   This role is in Toyota Headquarter in Plano, TX.

The primary responsibility of this role is to underwrite complex dealer credit packages for Toyota, Lexus, and Mazda dealers across the country.  Typical loan package will range from $1 million - $500 million for various credit facilities including syndicated/participated asset-based lending loans, direct floorplan lines of credit, real estate loans, working capital loans, and revolving lines of credit. Team member will interface with field associates, syndicated lead agent bank, TFS/MFS legal, and dealership personnel as needed.  Credit assessment includes collateral position, capacity, condition, and any recommendations to improve credit strength.  Other responsibilities include reviewing Syndicated/Participated loan documentation, assisting Dealer Lending Operations team with set up, settlement transactions, and reviewing Borrowing Base and Financial Statement and required financial covenants.   

Reporting to the Dealer Lending Manager, the person in this role will support the Toyota Financial Services/Mazda Financial Services Dealer Lending Department’s objective to maintain and service its commercial lending portfolio of loans.

What you’ll be doing

Manage and perform financial analysis of syndicated/participated loan facilities: review available term sheets, company prepared financial statements, tax returns, 10K/10Q, and CPA reviewed/audited financial statements to determine the Borrower’s liquidity, leverage, and capitalization.  Complete bank statement, GL Trial Balance, and tax return reconciliations to financial statements provided (if required). Provide cash flow analyses (Debt Service Coverage Calculation and/or Fixed Charges Calculation). Evaluate, assess, and determine the risk associated with all credit requests and provide the approval authority with appropriate information to support conclusions. Review legal structure to determine proper conclusions related to ownership, guaranties, and collateralization.  For multi-franchise/corporation requests, consolidate the information into a cohesive, simplified version noting the inter-relationships and potential problem areas.Review includes Syndication/Participation term sheet and loan agreements, buy/sell agreements, LLCs, partnerships, and real estate related documentation.Review Borrowing Base and Financial Covenants certificate. Consult with Field, Legal, and Risk for any non-compliant situation to determine the resolution.Work with National Account Operations team to assist any unreconciled daily funding/payment activities including complex interest and fee calculation and past due.  Consult with TFS/MFS Legal to address any modification to documents or approvals. Participate in TFS/Private Label Group internal projects relating to system enhancement and process improvements.Prepare ad hoc reports per request from upper management and work with cross-departmental teams. Assist in the training and development of new and existing Team Members.Complete peer reviews of outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness in addition to providing constructive feedback.

What you bring

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (preferable)Three or more years of experience in financial analysis of syndicated/participation loans, and commercial loan documents, including complex organizational structures, cash flow analysis, industry-standard financial ratios/covenants, and establishing loan collateralization.   Experience presenting complex financial information and credit structure to a credit approval authority.Experience reviewing financial information in conjunction with policies and procedures to identify key credit risks and deviations from operational standards in order to make suggestions to mitigate credit and operational risk.Demonstrated proficiency using Crowe Navigator, or similar financial analysis program.

Experience leading department projects and initiatives effectively and efficiently while managing workload of package underwriting.Experience in underwriting expertise with automotive dealer borrowers.
