Kleinfelder’s Water Technology team is seeking a skilled and technically focused Commercial Water/Wastewater Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for Travel Centers and Gas Stations across the United States. In this role, you will manage multiple water projects, ensuring successful execution by handling project financials, coordinating resources, and overseeing field operations. This team plans, design, and permits water infrastructure, builds the systems, serves clients, and operates the infrastructure for Travel Centers and Gas Stations. The team also houses its own pumps and parts, providing end-to-end solutions promptly. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while maintaining budget control and effective project delivery. With a focus on quality control, budget management, and team leadership, you will play a critical role in the success of our nationwide Travel Centers and Gas Stations infrastructure projects.
This hybrid position is offered at our McClure, OH office.
Responsibilities:
Lead planning, design, project completion, and operations of water/wastewater system and infrastructure projects for Travel Centers and Gas Stations across the country, ensuring adherence to regulations and client specifications.Manage day-to-day operations for commercial water infrastructure projects.Oversee and track project financials, including budgets, cost estimates, and project timelines.Supervise and coordinate field teams, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, troubleshooting any challenges that arise during project execution.Work with the team to maintain and manage all required pumps, parts, and equipment for Travel Centers and Gas Stations water systems.Develop and maintain project documentation, including status reports, change orders, and progress tracking.Ensure the quality of water infrastructure design and installation meets industry standards and client specifications.Perform risk management and quality assurance to mitigate issues during construction and operation phases.Travel up to 20% of the time to project sites, providing on-site support and ensuring successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in project management, focusing on commercial water and wastewater infrastructure.Strong understanding of water systems, infrastructure design, and installation processes.Previous experience working with Travel Centers and Gas Stations or similar commercial facilities is preferred.Proven ability to manage project financials, budgets, and timelines.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage both field teams and client relationships.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field highly preferred.Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as required (up to 20%).
