Job Title: Commercialization Project Manager Job Description The individual in this role will be flexible and busy with a sense of purpose. They will mainly step in after the benchtop formulation has been completed to run the commercialization and scale-up of products. The day-to-day tasks will be multifaceted, requiring technical support, investigation, troubleshooting, team meetings, and handling time-sensitive operational or launch activities. The individual will find ways to overcome obstacles and work collaboratively with cross-functional groups both internally and externally. Responsibilities + Prepare and evaluate data reports. + Provide on-ground support in pilot and manufacturing plants, fixing issues and working with customers and production teams. + Coordinate with different teams and customers. + Handle various random tasks that come up. + Ensure clear and concise communications to project teams within the organization. + Demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communication to ensure effective transmission of project updates, milestones, and expectations. + Prepare comprehensive reports and analysis to support decision-making. + Capture timing, observations, and document changes to be shared with stakeholders. + Develop and implement activities to ensure the successful delivery of turnkey projects, aligning with the department’s goals. + Oversee the continuous improvement and execution of turnkey projects, ensuring they are completed on time to the required standards. + Manage and maintain strong relationships with contract manufacturing partners. + Identify potential risks in project execution and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes. + Continuously improve processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of turnkey operations. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in food science, engineering, or a related field. + 3+ years of experience in true commercialization or scale-up of products. Additional Details + First shift Monday-Friday with remote work on Wednesday and Friday when not traveling. + Travel is involved up to 50% of the time, mainly local travel within 1-2 hours distance. Accrue 15 days per year of PTO. Receive 5 sick days each year.
