JOB SUMMARY To assist in the kitchen, contributing to the overall success of outlets and events, in accordance with the hotel’s standards and financial goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Satisfaction Provides a courteous and professional service at all times. Handles guest and associate enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow-up. Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships. Operations Ensures that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented. Work closely with other associates in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests. Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits. Cleans, cuts, and grinds meats, poultry, and seafood. Dips food items in crumbs, flour, and batter to bread them. Stirs and strains soups and sauces. Weighs and measures designated ingredients according to recipe cards. Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator. Stores foods in designated areas. Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils, segregates and removes garbage. Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment. Carves various cooked meats. Assists in quality control of items. Sets up buffet presentations. Talent & Culture Supports the implementation Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ Values and Culture Characteristics. Other Duties Ensuring the that all guests are made to feel welcomed, and appreciating the richness of culture diversity of your clients, associates and location. Solve and manage guest's issues in a professional manner. Ensure confidentiality and security of all data and documents in the property. Abides by the Rosewood Hotel and Resorts Associate handbook. Abides by the Rosewood Hotel and Resorts Confidentiality Code of Conduct Group Specific Contribute to ensuring that brand integrity and clarity are always maintained. Is a “Brand Ambassador” at all times and ensures brand integrity and clarity are always maintained. Model the company’s culture, vision, mission and core values at all times. Complies to the company policies. Works with pre-set budgetary limits. Takes on other tasks in addition to the ones stated, in a reasonable framework. QUALIFACATIONS/WORKING EXPIERENCE Basic culinary knowledge required Culinary education preferred School trained with internships preferred 6 to 12 months culinary experience in a luxury hotels, resorts, or freestanding restaurants kin to fine dining or similar upscale casual category on the Hawaiian Islands: Forbes, Mobile, Relais & Chateaux, Michelin Rated establishments. SALARY$25.13 per hour
