JOB SUMMARY:
In this position, an operator will be producing and printing labels to be placed on product containers and final packed cases. This person will set up the label for printing, ensure the job is running properly, and check quality throughout the run. All employees are responsible to follow all of Northgate Markets protocols of Food Safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position requires ensuring the label machines are working properly and efficiently in order to meet production deadlines according to the daily job schedule. Uses Microsoft system (Excel and Word) to log each print job accurately and correctly to record materials for each job Minimizes waste or misuse of raw materials. Communicates label production issues with Management. Maintains clean machines and handles maintenance with the department. Keeps an accurate log of raw materials used in the production of labels. Verify correct information is printed correctly on labels every time labels are changed or updated. Follows any other instructions given by supervisors and/or management to complete other tasks or projects, ensuring the objectives are accomplished accurately and within the timeframe allotted. Keeps all work areas safe, clean and in good condition. Maybe required to work overtime and weekends, as needed.POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. 2 years combined experience in various areas of operations. Preferred Bilingual English/Spanish. Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Availability to work mid-shifts, weekends, and Holidays. Standard days and hours of work are Monday-Sunday.EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

While performing the Label Marker Clerk duties, the employee will work in an office setting with a fast-past environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand; and use the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools or controls; The employee must frequently walk, talk or hear, and reach with the hands and arms; occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel; The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 50 pounds carrying boxes of records and forms and frequently exert or lift moderate amounts of weight; Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will work in all areas of the facility including the Operations Departments, Offices, Common Areas, Outside Perimeter, Parking, and Yard. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions, cold and heat, and working near moving mechanical parts.
