Job Summary:

The Commission Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of insurance commission statements. This role involves reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling commission data from various insurance carriers, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Commission Reconciliation:

Review and reconcile insurance commission statements from multiple carriers against internal records.

Ensure commissions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze trends in commission payouts to identify inconsistencies or potential errors.

Generate reports and provide insights to management regarding commission performance.

Issue Resolution:

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in commission payments with carriers and internal teams.

Collaborate with carriers to correct errors and ensure timely resolution.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve commission reconciliation processes and workflows.

Assist in developing and implementing new tools or methodologies to enhance efficiency.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and company policies related to commissions.

Maintain accurate records of reconciliation activities and communications for audit purposes.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience in reconciliation, data analysis, or accounting roles, preferably in the insurance industry.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools; experience with [specific software] is a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication skills to liaise with carriers and internal stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with insurance products and commission structures.

Experience working with CRM or financial reconciliation systems.

Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and compliance standards.
