Summary: Seeking a Commissioning Engineer with field experience in Mechanical (HVAC) Contracting, Controls (BAS) Contracting, and willingness to travel weekly.
Job Requirements:
Field experience in Mechanical (HVAC) Contracting or Controls (BAS) Contracting
Hands-on technical experience in construction, installation, service, or programming
Knowledge of mechanical systems installation and building automation systems interface
Willingness to travel weekly
General computer skills (MS Office Suite)
Preferred Skills:
Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience with Johnson Controls, Siemens, or Trane
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare project-specific commissioning scope of services and assist in budgeting
Provide peer review of documents for constructability and commission-ability
Prepare commissioning plans and review them for completeness
Review contractor submittals for compliance to contract documents
Schedule and coordinate commissioning site visits and deliverables for projects
Perform commissioning activities at project sites safely and professionally
Compose and issue commissioning site visit reports
Review trends for performance
Review training and O&M materials provided by contractors
Prepare final commissioning reports for projects
Design/Design Assistance Activities:
Review mechanical sequences of operations for optimal performance
Perform Construction Administration for designs
Conduct due diligence studies on existing buildings
Participate in contract bidding and administration
Observe the ongoing progress of projects
Assist in coordination with clients, contractors, consultants, and staff
Pay Details: $35.00 to $55.00 per hour
