OVERVIEW Merrick & Company is seeking a college or graduate school Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering student for a paid summer internship for Summer 2025 at our Atlanta, GA office. Imagine working on rewarding client projects and being exposed to unparalleled training and development opportunities! The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through mid-August 2024. We will be accepting resumes for this opportunity through January 2025. Resumes will be reviewed as they are received. Interviews will take place in the Winter. Offers will be extended in Winter/Spring. Timeframe subject to change. WHAT YOU'LL DO The Merrick Intern Program will provide an undergraduate or graduate student an opportunity to gain technical experience in the field of building systems commissioning and sustainability consulting. Our intern will be exposed to a variety of building systems and sustainability experiences and tasks including, but not limited to, site observation and field testing of mechanical systems, electrical power, lighting, fire detection, fire alarm, the Green Globes/LEED/Guiding Principles Compliance certification processes, and sustainable buildings. The position requires the collaboration with other disciplines, ability to interface with clients and contractors, follow schedules and budget commitments, work independently, possess good written and oral communication skills and the ability to problem solve. Must meet expectations for attendance and punctuality. Students who have recently graduated will not be considered. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in grad school. Must be pursuing an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with an accredited university. Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick’s insurance carrier. The client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of Bluebeam REVU/Adobe Acrobat. Local candidates preferred. PERKS Professional Training and Skill Development.
