Position Title: Commissioning Manager - Tualatin, OR
Position Description:
Involvement from Design through Commissioning. Will establish work processes, matrices, and indicators for the GC/Owner. Supervise Engineers and Field Technicians that perform start-up and commissioning of the facilities systems to functionally test the newly installed equipment and validate performance and spec compliance by following designated procedures and practices. Ability to track leads for reporting, create reports for the owner, daily deliverable tracking, extrapolate data in excel and use of macros.Position Deliverables:
Qualified technical background including field experience in all the discipline Ensure that installations are performed in accordance with the following: Client Master Specifications, Client [SID] Standard Installation Details, State and Local Codes UMC, UBC UPC and NFPA, SMACNA Standards, and International Codes, ASME, AWS Interface with Client System Owners/Engineers and Techs on matters affecting the project quality of work and system operationAssist Client and trades in identifying and solving construction problemsPerform all necessary inspections and equipment signoff requirementsParticipate in SOP and perform SIPP and Pre-Task Plan audits for compliance to Client requirementsCoordinate with tool owners to have the trades prepared for SL1/SL2Able to resolve technical construction questions and answer discipline specific RFIs.Also includes any discipline specific requirements as listed below.Minimum Requirements & Expectations:
Education/ ExperienceB.S. in Construction Management or related Engineering discipline or equivalent relevant hands-on experience Semiconductor experience is a plus.Must have a minimum of 6 years' experience in similar Start-up type roles for major high tech construction projects.5 years of experience on semiconductor, biomedical, pharmaceutical type buildings requiring extensive commissioning activities. SkillsWell versed in all disciplines (MEP, Elec, Chem, Arch, LSS, Etc) Able to communicate verbally, electronically and written to convey information in an effective manner. Technically skilled to act as the interface between disciplines, engineers, and contractors. Have a background in project management and schedule reviews for tracking purposes.Need to understand equipment and system P&IDs, specifications and drawings and be able to identify field discrepancies for resolution.Thorough understanding of respective discipline (EL, ME, PI, AR, LSS) to drive quality testing and documentation.Understanding of Area Layout.Knowledge of micro schedule for pre-facilitation, understanding of sequence of construction activities and tool sequence.Able to track hours in the field and to assess earned value.
