We’ve got what you’re looking for. **Job Description:** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Commissioning Manager** to join our team! In this role you will oversee the commissioning phase of wastewater and sewerage line projects. The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all systems and components related to wastewater treatment plants, sewerage lines, and related infrastructure meet operational, safety, and regulatory standards. This role will involve coordinating the start-up activities, conducting testing and verification, and ensuring the proper handover to the client or operations team. **What You'll Be Doing:** + Develop and implement detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and strategies for wastewater/sewerage line projects. + Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure the successful execution of commissioning activities. + Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements during commissioning. + Lead the testing and validation of all systems, equipment, and components of wastewater treatment and sewerage infrastructure. + Supervise the execution of performance tests, functionality tests, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure proper system operation. + Ensure all commissioning tests are completed according to specifications and contract requirements. + Supervise and manage commissioning teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors. + Provide technical guidance and support during the commissioning phase. + Coordinate the training of operators and other personnel on new systems and equipment. + Ensure that all systems are fully functional and meet operational specifications prior to handover. + Conduct inspections and verify that all works meet the required quality standards. + Identify and resolve any issues or defects during the commissioning phase, ensuring minimal downtime and operational delays. + Prepare detailed commissioning reports, including test results, performance data, and any identified issues or corrective actions. + Maintain comprehensive commissioning records and documentation in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. + Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including project managers and clients, regarding commissioning progress. + Ensure that all commissioning activities are completed on schedule and within budget. + Coordinate the final handover of the systems and infrastructure to the operations team or client. + Ensure that all necessary documentation, including as-built drawings and operation manuals, are provided to the client at the time of handover. **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering/ Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 15 years of experience in commissioning, with at least 3 years of experience specifically in wastewater or sewerage line projects. + Strong technical knowledge of wastewater treatment systems, sewerage infrastructure, and related equipment. + Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in wastewater management and sewerage systems. + Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills. + Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. + Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. + Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. ​ **What Desired Skills You'll Bring:** + Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or similar. + Experience with automation and SCADA systems in wastewater treatment and sewerage projects. + Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in wastewater systems.
