Commissioning Project Manager

Your Role

Join Atlas Copco as a Commissioning Project Manager as part of the Program Managment Department where you will be responsible for the overall commercial performance of assigned projects, including schedule oversight (meeting customer needs), Pre-Post Performance, QE Monitoring, and Cash Flow follow up. You will be the primary point of customer contact for commercial items, including negotiation of change orders, back charge claims and project schedule communications. Located in Voorheesville, NY, this role is Hybrid and reports to the Commissioning Manager.

You will be responsible for all commercial aspects of assigned projects from Project to Commissioning Intro through site acceptance certificates.You will maintain a seamless process / communication route for the customer.You will continuously check in with the customer regarding need and open actions.You will review of customer purchase order prior to acknowledgement of order.You will be the key point of contact for all commercial correspondence.You will be responsible for communicating customer needs to project team and throughout the organization.You will establish bi-weekly formal reporting for each customer, communicate status updates on all commercial items and share open technical information (through collaboration with Technical Support).You will adjust communication and follow up, both within and outside of the organization if urgent situation arises.You will be responsible for maintaining continuous cost control of orders which includes;Monitoring budgeted costs versus actualCoordinating customer management of financial claimsReviewing and approving of key vendor final invoices prior to paymentQE Awareness and mitigation of recovery of costs (Vendor/Customer/Other)

Additionally, as needed:

You have some availability after hours to support.You are willing to travel to address immediate needs or proactive visits for feedback. You can partnership with Prime PM contacts – eliciting feedback and seeking potential commissioning obstacles proactively.

 
To succeed, you will need  

You have a BS Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in successful management of projects.You have SAP / MS Project (preferred) or other similar system experience.You have professional approach to problem solving, high urgency, and strong communication skillset.You have strong customer service approach / experience.Preferred: Current PMP Certification / Experience with Field Service/Commissioning Support.
