Primary Responsibilities:

Oversight of project specific testing activities including assisting with isolation plans and with flagging and barriersChallenge and validate design approachesIdentify and correct errors and deficienciesProvide interface between testing contractors/subcontractors and clientReview/Create project specific testing and commissioning plans and energization plansReview/Create project specific site work plansReview of test data to client standards and review of in-service test data (angles/load flow verification)Monitor relay testing and review of relay settingsMonitor functional testing in accordance with the three-line current and potential and schematic diagramsMonitor and review of testing of SCADA and communication systemsTroubleshoot issues that arise during testing activities Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience15 or more years of experience in construction & commissioning at high voltage substationsFamiliarity with microprocessor protection relays used in electric utility substations. Should have a knowledge of relays from ABB, AREVA, Siemens, SEL, etc.Ability to read and understand AC and DC Schematic Diagrams and Wiring Diagrams for electric utility substations. This includes schematics and wiring diagrams for protection, transformer protection, bus differential protection, breaker failure protection, etc.Proficiency with MS Office applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills

Value but not required skills and experience:

Professional Engineering (PE) licenseProject Managment Professional (PMP)
