For more information, visit hormelfoods.com . **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Develop & Implement the Cirtuo Strategy for procuring tree nuts and other agricultural crops + Negotiate short-term, annual, and long-term supply agreements to align with AOP guidance. + Continuously monitor markets for strategic forward buys and substitute raw material purchases to reduce total costs and support T&M goals. + Manage one salaried direct report. + Collaborate with BP&A, FP&A, sales, and marketing to provide forecast guidance for pricing and promotional decisions. + Foster and strengthen supplier relationships. + Develop a deep understanding of end-to-end global supply chains to minimize TCO for purchased raw material. + Lead and support strategic internal and external meetings and presentations to customers. + Manage DataServ to ensure payment of invoices and compliance with suppliers. + Assist in vacation coverage and support other category managers. + Optimize freight points within our network to minimize cost. + Attend annual conferences (PTNPA, INC, etc…) in support of categories managed. **QUALIFICATIONS:** Level of position offered (Commodity Buyer or Senior Commodity Buyer) will be determined based on candidate's experience and skill set. Required + Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field. + 4+ years of work experience in supply chain. + Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently. + Effective interpersonal and leadership skills. + Persuasive and relationship building skills. + Proven problem-solving, decision-making and negotiation skills. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Strong organization and time management skills. + Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States. + Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa. At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
