Siemens eMobility® solutions is shaping the market with innovative Electric Vehicle (EV) charging technologies. We are dedicated to driving an open and accessible market for electric vehicles, as well as planning and implementing secure grid connections to enable further growth of EV adoption. 

We are hiring a Commodity Manager In Raleigh NC. This role strategically manages commodity procurement by developing and implementing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and fostering strong supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and reliable material supply. It also involves optimizing product quality, manufacturability, and cost through proactive supplier engagement and participation in new product development.

You will make an impact with the following duties:

Strategic Commodity Management: Define and implement commodity strategies based on market analysis, demand, and supplier performance to ensure cost-efficient and secure supply. Supplier Relationship and Negotiation: Develop and manage supplier relationships, negotiate agreements (including pricing and quality), and optimize supply chain efficiencies. Contractual and Commercial Operations: Develop and negotiate contractual agreements for price protection and supply security, conduct eAuctions, RFQs, and supplier selection. Quality and Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance, address quality issues, and lead quality agreement negotiations. Product Lifecycle and Innovation: Implement procurement aspects of product lifecycle processes, optimize product quality and cost, and identify innovative market solutions.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related occupation Minimum of 7 years’ experience with the following: Electrical or electronics commodity experience Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers, manage multi-sourcing, and drive cost reduction and lead-time improvements. Supply Chain and Financial Management: Utilize SAP, analyze data and financials, and understand cost drivers within international supply chains, including customs and tariffs. Commercial and Contractual Expertise: Apply commercial and contracting skills to manage supplier agreements and optimize procurement processes. Technical and Industry Knowledge: Leverage direct experience in sheet metal, enclosures, and electrical systems. Project Management and Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams and scrum methodology events to achieve project goals. Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

The pay range for this position is $89,670- $153,720 plus incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
