What will you do?

Management of Commodities

Manage commodities globally and across business units (for specific material field) and foster cross-functional alignment

Purchasing volume (PVO) transparency 

Ensure PVO transparency globally by, amongst others, correct coding to ensure a
correct reporting and to derive an appropriate commodity strategy

Commodity strategies and Pooling strategies

Define/ adapt and implement Commodity and Pooling strategies (based on
conducted demand, market and supplier analyses) Evaluate and document in relevant Commodity Strategy IT-systems and update regularly; communicate the strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials and strategic Global Value Sourcing. Support superior Pooling functions

Contract Management and Negotiations

Define and implement negotiation concepts and strategies to maximize savings. Negotiate frame contracts; define core assortment; document frame contracts in relevant Supplier Management IT-systems. Independently drafts and negotiates complex contracts (in alignment with Legal) with international validity and knows the consequences of all clauses.

Commodity Team

Coordinate and manage a virtual/disciplinary team globally to achieve optimum conditions and savings through collaborative, targeted activities and to increase profit from global and cross-divisional or divisional sourcing

e-Procurement

Foster usage of eProcurement tools (eRfX, eAuction/ eBidding); ensure that contract
structures are transferable in eCatalogues (applicable esp. for Indirect Material) to improve the Procurement process and efficiency

Risk and opportunity management

Identify particular procurement risks, opportunities and market forces to avoid potential damage/ exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk management and change management

Supplier Management

Perform Supplier Management: Supplier selection, incl. documentation and communication of FPL suppliers, regular supplier and strategic evaluations, supplier qualification and supplier development to obtain and develop the best suppliers and to
ensure an optimum supply chain Makes recommendations and leads the implementation of corrective and/or preventive measures for complex issues that cross organizational boundaries

What will you need to succeed?

Degree or diploma in related discipline. MBA preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in a strategic commodity function with supplier management and preparation/ negotiation of complex contractual agreements. Demonstrated ability to lead review process of complex contractual review with multiple stakeholders and manage project timelines. Strong contract negotiation skills with the ability to negotiate complex topics, coordinate stakeholders, and use virtual negotiation formats. Extensive data management experience, capable of analyzing and presenting complex data. Demonstrated experience with supplier and market analysis including comprehensive analysis suppliers, their situations (capacities, innovations, technology trends, economic situation) and business models. Demonstrated experience with supplier management including compliance, contract management, assessment and supplier development programs Project lead experience in procurement, able to minimize costs and risks, utilizing supplier knowledge and technologies. Drive material field strategies, continuously updating them, and foster the use of SCM tools. Ability to anticipate problems, lead corrective measures, and foster a collaborative culture of learning.
