We are seeking a **Commodity Manager** who will be responsible for the Extended Offer program and Software with a focus on Uptime Productivity Parts. Are you ready take on your next challenge? Come join us! **What will you do as a Commodity Manager?** As a Commodity Manager, you will be in charge of negotiating and managing the awarded suppliers in our Extended Offer program. These suppliers provide non-Volvo branded parts and solutions to our customers through our dealers network. The span of products and suppliers is wide and the program aims to be expanded globally. This will be roughly half of your responsibility in terms of time. The other half will be focused on software, IT & SaaS partners, with a focal point on the Uptime & Productivity Services and Solutions that support our end customers’ performance. Here your scope will be global and part of a small by highly skilled team of software buyers that service all VCE platforms from Korea to the US. You will create a strong relationship with internal stakeholders, VCE management, as well as our suppliers and partners. **Main Tasks and Responsibilities** + Participate actively in the selection of Proof-of-Concepts, as well as in the sourcing and qualification of IT partners. + Serve as the liaison with the Innovation Lab in San Jose for innovative projects. + Collaborate with the Digital Product Manager to address data privacy-related issues. + Monitor the latest trends and best practices in the software industry + Negotiate contracts and secure our commercial agreements + Identify potential supply chain risks and lead risk mitigation plan activities. + Identify cost saving opportunities. + Develop and implement strategies for our partners in the Extended Offer program in strong collaboration with internal stakeholders + Align the Volvo Construction strategic initiatives with internal and Volvo Group stakeholders. **Who are you?** Do you dream big? Since you will be collaborating with internal and external contacts in a multicultural environment, you need to have good collaboration and communication skills. **Required knowledge, experience, education:** + Bachelor's/Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. + Creative and pragmatic with a strategic mindset. + Excellent negotiation and communication skills. + Strong leadership skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. + Autonomy. + As a person, you are recognized as dynamic and able to coordinate an effective team with a common objective + Experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the software industry + Purchasing experience in Commercial vehicles, or other related industries. + Fluent in English verbal and written communication. **Additional Important Information:** + Location: Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
