Role Overview:
Regional Supplier Quality Electrical & Engineer ensures electrical and products comply with safety and quality standards. The Commodity Supplier Quality Engineer defines qualification requirements (PPAP) as part of outsourcing / new product introduction projects (PDP) and make sure they are met according to project’s timing with no post qualification quality escapes. As part of overall supplier’s management, they will perform audits and assessments in supplier’s factories and follow up on supplier’s quality issues and drive them for successful resolution and closure using Otis quality tools and according to Otis quality policies and procedures.
The job requires active communication with external electrical product suppliers as well as internal customers / Otis factories, Engineering, Manufacturing and Field functions. Status and progress of work should be regularly communicated to function and regional / global Management. The job requires 40% to 60% travel. The ideal candidate is a graduated and experienced Electric Quality Engineer, with demonstrable experience in resolving electrical products quality issues and knowledge of industry standards. The candidate should demonstrate customer focus, passion in quality and drive for results.
This position can be located in Spain.
Responsibilities:
Supplier’s management with periodical audits and assessments
Participation in sourcing projects and new product development to assure right quality level of products
Lead the supplier’s claim timely resolution (internal and external quality claims) to achieve given KPIs
Cooperate with other functions: Engineering, Manufacturing and Field to accomplish objectives
Use Otis quality tools and proceed according to company policies and procedures
Record progress and results in Otis QMSS (Otis electronic quality system)
Report to function and regional / global Management on regular basis
Negotiate application of necessary actions to external suppliers
Propose improvements to Otis product’s for quality enhancement
Qualifications - Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or Master Science degree (preferred) programs in electrical engineering
2+ years of experience in industrial / engineering company from electrical sector
Experience in quality area including quality issues resolution
Knowledge of electrical industry standards

Able to translate complex data into a simple solution with an analytical mindset.
Able to utilize, interpret and solve quality issues using data and quality tools: SPC charts, 8-D analysis, Ishikawa diagrams.
Able to lead audits of production and related business processes
Able to read component and product drawings for datum scheme and control.
4) Communication Skills / Empathy:
Excellent communication skills are important, able to communicate effectively with management and peers
Fluent in English including technical vocabulary from industry
Very good knowledge of Czech language required
Negotiation skills will be an advantage
