The RCDD will play a critical role in confirming the successful design and implementation of telecommunications distribution systems for a US agency building in DC. The RCDD will collaborate with design, construction, and client teams to develop RCDD specifications and system architecture. They will confirm the data cabling infrastructure meets industry standards and effectively serves the needs of the client. They will coordinate with stakeholders and oversee the installation to confirm compliance with specifications. The role involves collaboration with design and construction teams, contractors, and facility stakeholders to confirm that all telecommunication components meet project specifications and performance goals.
Responsibilities
+ Develop RCDD specifications and system architecture.
+ Confirm data cabling infrastructure meets industry standards and client needs.
+ Coordinate with stakeholders and oversee installation to confirm compliance with specifications.
+ Collaborate with design and construction teams, contractors, and facility stakeholders to ensure telecommunication components meet project specifications and performance goals.
Essential Skills
+ RCDD certification.
+ 7+ years of experience supporting Federal projects in the $150 million and up range.
+ BS in Engineering.
+ Experience with Federal Construction, DoD, GSA.
+ Deep understanding of telecommunication systems, processes, and materials.
+ Experience with oversight of installation and design/spec reviews.
+ Experience working in and around historic properties.
+ Experience with P100 and code compliance requirements.
+ Experience with Niagara software platform.
+ Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working with GSA on GSA managed construction projects.
Work Environment
On-site in Southeast DC 5 days a week. The position offers 2+ years of full-time work lined up. The role involves working in a collaborative environment with design, construction teams, contractors, and facility stakeholders to ensure project success.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
