Job Description

COMMUNICATION LECTURER/COMMUNICATION LAB MANAGER, Biological Engineering (BE), to lead the BE Communication Lab, a peer-coaching organization that helps students learn to write, speak, and design visuals more effectively.  Will support the department’s communication-intensive classes, including 20.109 and 20.380, and other communication-related educational activities; and lead the lab in collaboration with the communication fellows.  Will collaborate on supporting the vertically integrated communication curriculum, bring curricular advances into the BE community, and design and enhance initiatives to meet the community’s needs by being a leader in the science communication and education fields.  Responsibilities include educational design and instruction for communication needs, managing a team of communication fellows (graduate student and postdoc peer coaches), strategy/outreach, and administration.
