Description Communication Specialist - Healthcare Content Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid Schedule) Duration: 3+ months (Contract) We are seeking a Communication Specialist with healthcare and medical insurance experience to join our team on a 30-40 hours-per-week basis for a 3+ month contract. This role will follow a hybrid schedule, with three days per week onsite in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for crafting patient-focused content and excel in a collaborative, regulated industry environment. Key Responsibilities: + Create engaging, patient-centric copy for a large healthcare client. + Develop long-form content, including documents with captivating headlines and subject lines. + Collaborate closely with creative and educational teams to craft actionable communication strategies for patients and healthcare providers (HCPs). + Conduct research and interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and relevance. Requirements Communication Specialist - Healthcare Content Top 3 Must-Haves: + Proven experience in medical insurance, pharmaceutical, or other heavily regulated industries. + Demonstrated ability to produce compelling long-form content (samples required). + Creative writing skills that make technical or dry topics engaging and relatable. Preferred Experience: + Background in healthcare or pharmaceutical communication. + Familiarity with insurance-related communication. + Strong understanding of compliance considerations in regulated industries. Skills & Tools: + Proficiency in both print and digital formats, including email and social media (paid and organic). + Strong deadline-driven writing capabilities. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. + Experience with project management tools like Basecamp (or similar). + An online portfolio showcasing long-form, patient-focused content.
