Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff. Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** Identify items that are minimally required to perform the essential functions of this position. **Preferred or Specialized** Not required to perform the essential functions of the position. **Education:** High School diploma or GED **Experience:** Previous medical experience or experience as a telephone/switchboard operator **License(s)/Certification(s):** Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:** · Effective organization and time management skills · Familiar with/ability to use general office equipment: o Multi-line Telephone system o Copy Machine o Fax Machine o Printers and Scanners o Windows-based computers · Ability to manage multiple tasks · Strong attention to detail · Ability to communicate well verbally and with a variety of persons. · Problem solving and critical thinking skills · Ability to react quickly to emergent situations and remain calm. · Knowledge of medical procedures, testing and preparation · Knowledge of medical terminology **Other:** Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. + **Area of Interest:** Administrative and Clerical; + **FTE/Hours per pay period:** .01; + **Department:** Telecommunications; + **Shift:** PRN, as needed.
