Job DescriptionOur Public Affairs & Communications team is looking for a Communications Analyst to support monitoring, analysis and reporting of social media, news and internal communication channels. This role is for a candidate with experience in social media and/or news monitoring who can help the team identify and understand emerging trends, reputation risks and opportunities, and content performance.
This individual will report to the Vice President of Crisis Communication and Social Media Intelligence and support all members of the team by ensuring the accuracy of data used in our analysis. They will also assist with research projects and the preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting.
Essential Functions
Audit company, competitor and industry mentions within our datasets to verify relevancy and sentiment for accuracy and reasonableness; flag and escalate content in accordance with functional procedures.
Work as part of a larger team in a collaborative process to support proactive and reactive monitoring, analysis and reporting on topics and conversations across social media and the news that affect our business.
Gather, review and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research into actionable insights.
Identify and troubleshoot inconsistencies and inaccuracies in data, tools and research.
Develop and maintain relevant searches, alerts and dashboards across our tools.
Basic Qualifications
Typically one to two years of experience
Preferred Experience/Skills
Hands-on experience with social media monitoring and measurement tools, such as Talkwalker, Khoros, Cision, Meltwater, Sprinklr or Brandwatch
Basic understanding of Boolean logic and query-based searches
Demonstrated experience analyzing data, deriving actionable insights, and conveying results in a visually compelling way to help drive business decisions
Experience in financial services or another regulated industry and/or a large, matrixed organization is a plus
1-2 years of experience in social media and/or news media monitoring in one or more of the following disciplines: communications, public relations, marketing, social media and/or government relations
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes and procedures; willingness to learn and adapt as methods and tools evolve
Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, both individually and as part of a broader group
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability and judgement to maintain confidentiality
Location Expectations
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
