Job Summary:
Overview:The Marketing Communications Manager position combines marketing and social media management skills to develop and enhance the client’s fitness center and virtual fitness programming. The ideal candidate will be similarly capable at strategic and tactical efforts, have resilient creative and analytical capabilities, and have superior communication and teamwork skills. This position will focus on driving strategy, planning and execution of interactive and engaging opportunities via in-person (live) events and virtual fitness offerings. These efforts will help support the client’s wellness efforts to increase employee engagement in fitness related programs, improve health outcomes, and help to create and grow organic cohorts of fitness communities. This team member works closely with client associate communications and marketing teams while combining efforts of both EXOS and the client.
In this role, you will:
Develop, and create communications in the form of emails, newsletters, publications, articles and other communication avenues
Create opportunities for new marketing strategies and communication efforts
Create marketing, communication and social media campaigns and strategies, inclusive of virtual fitness offerings and interactive content
Establishes guidelines and supports the process of digital content creation, formulating topic ideas that appeal to our audience, and creating written or visual content around those topics.
Adhere to, meet and seek to exceed personal KPI scorecard as provided by manager
Ensures consistency in marketing and social media messages across account, while providing training and guidance to site teams in implementing internal social media marketing and communication best practices and strategies
Monitoring and responding to queries and comments on social media platforms
Measure success by collecting all data from marketing efforts and use this information to determine ROI and improve future marketing strategies and campaigns
Grow and expand social media presence into new social media platforms, plus increase presence on existing platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
Research and monitor activity of company competitors
Create and distribute engaging written or graphic content in the form of newsletters, web page and blog content and social media messages
Create connections with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
Collaborates with Client's Communication and Marketing Leads
Oversees and ensures that all communications and marketing efforts are aligned and follow client's brand guidelines
Delivery of communication solutions that have a measurable impact on wellness
Use of advanced technology and collaboration with metrics analysis to measure success
Discover ways to engage and leverage technology for tracking, monitoring and adjusting
Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Communications OR Exercise Science/Kinesiology
3+ year’s digital marketing experience, social marketing/community management, influencer marketing
Strong ability to story tell
Ability to activate, excite and grow community
Ability to drive social strategy and initiatives with a data driven approach and focus on ROI
Proven ability and passion for understanding the customers’ needs and translating that into relevant and useful content marketing
Preferred Qualifications:
Management experience in a fitness environment
Experience working in a fitness center or other related fitness capacity
Proven ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively to deadlines in an environment of high energy
Qualified industry certification
Successful track record of multi-task management
Ability to highly function in a demanding role
