Job Description:
Berklee Valencia is seeking applications for a Communications Assistant Coordinator who is bilingual in English and Spanish and who has experience in diverse and international environments.
Under the supervision of the Senior Communications coordinator, this person will be supporting the Communications department to develop and implement the communication strategy of the campus. They will be involved in many projects including the development process of editorial and audiovisual content, social media management, event promotion and organization, and public relations. Please note that this is a temporary three-month position.

They will have excellent oral and written communications skills and demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with individuals at all levels of the organization. This position will require an individual that understands the mission of the College and our dedication to providing quality education to our students with a high level of service.
Essential Functions / Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the development of audiovisual content for the campus. Includes assistance video set-ups, troubleshooting in classrooms and for special events and gatherings.
Assist with the social media content calendar in collaboration with the communications senior coordinator and the marketing departments. Assist in developing copy, prepare, and schedule contents for different platforms.
Collaborate with students and staff to generate content ideas and participate in trends.
Manage photo albums, archives, and other visual assets.
Design and produce creative materials to support communication campaigns and campus branding.
Track and collect media hits, maintaining accurate records for reports and analysis.
Provide live event coverage and support including managing stakeholder interactions.
Assist in planning, promoting, and executing official events.
Assist with producing institutional presentations for both internal use and potential partners or to advance public awareness of the college.
Redaction of press releases about the campus events, both in English and Spanish.
Management of the campus external newsletter.
Assist with internal communications, including development and implementation of regular and ad hoc pieces.
Assistance on other special projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
At least 1 year of experience in the fields of marketing and communications.
Bilingual in Spanish and English, oral and written. (C1 demonstrable).
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or similar.
Availability to work in-person.
Knowledge of current marketing and advertising trends in social media.
Familiar with Facebook Creator Studio, Meta Business Suit, and Google Workspace.
Familiar with Filmora, Canva, and/or other graphic design tools. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Detail-oriented and with strong organizational skills: ability to balance large workload in a busy office environment and set and manage multiple priorities in a timely fashion.
Positive attitude and proactivity and willingness to work with all team members.
Ability to work effectively within an ethnic, cultural, and socially diverse student and staff population.
