Job Summary: This role is responsible for the creation of strategic messaging about our products and company.
Essential Functions: The ideal candidate will be a proficient writer able to balance the perspectives of the design and sales teams along with other stakeholders, while crafting compelling, on-brand narratives about our products, collaborations, creative initiatives, and company. This person will work closely with the rest of the Communications department and along with other internal departments. An ability to operate collaboratively and self-sufficiently in a highly creative environment across all levels of the organization is vital.
As a design leader, Maharam frequently distinguishes itself from the standard marketing playbook. To be successful, this position requires someone who can think independently, creatively, and strategically while anticipating audience reception and market reaction. A sophisticated understanding of brand, a progressive approach to communications and marketing, a passion for design, and an elevated aesthetic sensibility are all essential.
The role calls for someone who is at once a big-picture thinker and is also exceptionally organized and detail oriented. An ability to build relationships industry-wide and manage them with tact is critical. Excellent writing and presentation skills are a must.
Magnitude and Relationship Reporting: This position reports to the Communications Director.
Contacts Inside and Outside the Organization: This position has contact with internal departments (including Design, Media, Product Management, and Sales) and communicates to tastemakers, collaborators, press, clients, tour groups, and the general public.

Knowledge of MS Office, basic familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Creative Suite
Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, or creative field
3-5 years prior experience
Writing samples required
A starting compensation range for this role is $60,500-$70,851.56/annually. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium.
