HSBC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Communications Associate specializing in social media to join our dynamic communications team. This role will play a key part in developing and executing social media strategies, while also assisting with content creation, to promote HSBC’s brand, and coordinating essential team and media relations activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow within a communications team and gain exposure to a wide range of media and public relations activities.

As our Communications Associate - Social Media you will:

Develop and implement social media campaigns to promote key initiatives, events, and team activities across platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)Assist with content development including writing, video production, and photography, to create engaging multimedia materials that align with HSBC’s brand and communications strategiesCoordinate team activities, including managing collaborative platforms like monday.com, Everyone Social (or similar social advocacy platform), preparing media lists, distributing press releases, and supporting media outreach effortsSupport the communications team with media relations activities, including drafting and distributing press releases, monitoring media coverage, and preparing reportsCollaborate with internal teams to craft compelling content that aligns with HSBC’s brand and communication strategies, highlighting team achievements and promoting cross-functional engagementMonitor and analyse social media performance metrics to ensure strategies are effectively driving engagement and achieving objectivesAssist with planning and organizing internal and external events, including media briefings, team meetings, and press conferencesMaintain an organized and up-to-date media contact list and ensure all media activities are well-coordinated and timelyStay up-to-date with social media trends, best practices, and platform updates to ensure HSBC remains at the forefront of digital communication strategiesContribute to content creation, messaging, and storytelling efforts that resonate with internal and external stakeholders.

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $55,900 and $83,900

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
