Communications Broadcast and Multimedia Production Manager - Institutional Advancement **POSITION DETAILS** York College, founded in 1966, is a center of academic excellence in the heart of Jamaica, Queens. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Communications Broadcast and Multimedia Production Manager is a strategic role pivotal for enhancing the College's communication strategies, elevating its public image and brand identity, and ultimately strengthening recruitment efforts, philanthropic interest and its position as a leading educational institution within the vibrant and diverse Jamaica, Queens community. **The incumbent will be responsible for crafting and producing compelling narratives through the production of** high-quality video content (promotional videos, student testimonials, faculty spotlights, campus events) that authentically showcase the unique academic and cultural experiences offered at York College. In addition to the general duties, the role will be responsible for **Highlighting Community Impact, Modernizing Online Presence, Creating Targeted Recruitment Campaigns, Showcasing Career Pathways and Providing Experiential Learning Opportunities for students.** **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Design and execute radio and television public service announcements that emphasize the College's positive contributions to the NYC, and Jamaica, Queens community, fostering stronger ties with residents. + Enhance the College's digital presence through engaging and informative digital media content that reflects the vibrancy and diversity of the student body and the surrounding community. + Create compelling content to support recruitment efforts, specifically targeting local high school students, adult learners seeking career advancement, and underrepresented minority groups. + Provide valuable hands-on experience to students through internships and collaborative media projects, fostering further professional development in media production and communication. + Manage the entire production process, including pre-production (planning, scripting, storyboarding), production (filming, recording, interviewing), and post-production (editing, sound design, motion graphics). + Oversee the College's media facilities, ensuring proper equipment maintenance and operation. + Supervise student interns, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities. + Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to develop and execute media projects that align with departmental and institutional goals. + Distribute media content across various platforms, including the College website, social media channels, and local media outlets. **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor’s degree and six years’ related experience required. + Portfolio of completed production/ multimedia projects. + Proven experience working with faculty, staff, students and external constituents. + Experience producing content with a variety of video, audio and graphic software. + Current knowledge of current video equipment, techniques and trends. + Experience creating consistently video and other content that encourage sharing, engagement, and promotion of highly valuable programs and initiatives. + Experience in large and small-scale video production ranging from long-lead times to quick-turn production. + Ability to represent the college with external constituents.
