Onsite are roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.

Hybrid fixed are roles that are a blend of onsite work/in-person interactions with some ability to work remotely and require employees to live within a commutable distance and be onsite fixed days each week.

Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary

This position in Communications supports PSE&G's Renewables and Energy Solutions (RES) business group that is advancing the company's clean energy vision through electric vehicles, energy efficiency, solar and energy storage programs. This support includes providing developing and executing communications programs to achieve the RES group's business objectives. This is done by collaborating with internal teams to develop creative, thoughtful, and impactful communications for internal and external audiences. To achieve this, this position must effectively build relationships with stakeholders, including internal executives, and leverage those relationships to ensure effective delivery of communications products; and partner with other PSEG departments including marketing agencies, legal and human resources, web and creative services staff and more.

 

Job Responsibilities Draft and prepare communications materials – articles, press releases, statements, briefing documents, internal communications. Manage the associated approval process for those materials working cross functionally with legal, regulatory, investor relations and others across and outside of RES. Support leaders at internal and external events, during media interviews and company town halls/all-hands. Work with leaders to prepare for events. Develop and manage internal and external presentations. Manage the associated approval process for those materials working cross functionally with legal, regulatory, investor relations and others across and outside of RES. Pitching and securing media opportunities and responding to media inquiries. Effectively manage up and down to achieve the other responsibilities and accountabilities in this list. Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree; prefer major in Communications, English, Journalism, Business or equivalent; and a minimum of 6 years of experience in writing and editing. Experience leading and executing communication programs, content, and messaging of major launches, key initiatives, campaigns and events Demonstrated skill at taking story ideas from concept to launch – creating themes that resonate through media relations, social media, thought leadership initiatives, marketing, and internal messaging. Excellent writing and editing skills, with a demonstrated ability to tell stories with a journalistic approach that grabs attention and engages our target audiences.  Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work within a team. Media relations experience, including responding to media queries, developing storylines and pitching reporters, producing press releases, talking points, op-eds, etc. Understanding of social media and its application to business communications Experience working with clients or customers. Analytical skills as well as proven ability to be innovative and creative. Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, matrixed organization Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines. Familiarity with creative processes (layout, photography, print production). Experience in events and meeting planning and management. Proficient in Microsoft Suite and experience with internal and external websites.
