Job Description:
We are seeking an innovative, detail-oriented, and resourceful Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing impactful marketing and communication strategies to increase brand awareness, manage public relations efforts, and support organizational objectives. This role requires a professional with demonstrated expertise in public relations, press release writing, media relations, and media list management.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and execute PR strategies to maintain a positive public image for the company.
+ Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, reporters, and industry influencers to drive coverage.
+ Write, edit, and distribute compelling press releases, media advisories, and other external and internal communications that align with brand messaging.
+ Optimize press releases to ensure maximum media reach and engagement.
+ Develop, update, and maintain media contact lists and databases to ensure effective targeting of the right audiences.
+ Research and identify opportunities to expand and enhance media contact lists.
+ Coordinate outreach to media professionals to pitch stories, secure placements, and manage follow-ups.
+ Collaborate with the marketing team to create communication materials that drive promotional activities, campaigns, and events.
+ Support cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all communications channels.
+ Analyze the performance of communications efforts and provide regular reporting.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
+ 2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
+ AP Style Writing
+ Proven experience in writing and distributing press releases, developing and managing media lists, and building relationships and pitching stories to media outlets.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with media database tools (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack) is a plus.
+ Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively across teams.
