Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Communications & Engagement Specialist to join our team at our manufacturing facility in San Antonio, TX. This individual will be responsible for facilitating high-impact communications and engagement initiatives, including the planning and execution of meetings, tours, and events with customers, suppliers, government officials, strategic partners, and internal plant employees. The role will also ensure that all visitors to the plant experience a first-class, welcoming environment while managing internal communication efforts, such as newsletters, manufacturing updates, and signage promoting our safety, quality, and core values. The schedule for this role is Mon-Thurs 5:30AM – 4:00PM with occasional Fridays as needed. This role will begin reporting to the P&C Manager and eventually transition to the Plant Director.

Responsibilities
+ Provide administrative support to the manufacturing leadership team.
+ Engage with manufacturing and support internal teams to maintain a deep understanding of the business.
+ Actively participate in the Culture Committee, supporting employee engagement initiatives.
+ Plan and coordinate plant tours for visitors to ensure they have an exceptional experience.
+ Lead and implement internal and external events, from employee gatherings to customer visits.
+ Coordinate catering, logistics, and event set-up and breakdown.
+ Manage the event budget and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
+ Develop and execute communications tailored to different audiences within the plant, including newsletters and updates.
+ Ensure accurate and timely information is shared with the team for smooth event execution.
+ Collaborate with multiple departments to address any event-specific details or changes.
+ Oversee the processing of vendor payments related to meetings and events.
+ Support both on-site and off-site events as needed.
+ Deliver exceptional customer service in all event coordination processes and during interactions with employees and visitors.
+ Work with facilities to maintain plant aesthetics, signage, and décor.
+ Collaborate with the internal communications team on initiatives and projects.
+ Handle confidential information appropriately.
+ Assist with other projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ At least 2 years of communications experience
OR
+ Master’s degree
OR
+ At least 4 years of communications experience
Additional Requirements
+ Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
+ Exceptional communication, writing, and customer service skills.
+ Proven experience in planning and managing events for large groups (500+).
+ Strong proficiency in MS Office, with a keen attention to detail.
+ Experience using design tools such as Adobe or Canva to create media content.
+ Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
+ Strong organizational and planning abilities, with excellent follow-through and problem-solving skills.
+ A collaborative team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, fostering a culture of engagement.
