Responsibilities Responsibilities include: Design of fiber telecommunications projects and advising team and client on most effective solutions to meet goals of the project. Interact onsite with client and design team by supporting project deliverables and acting as a techincal advisor. Requires knowledge of fiber optic engineering design specifications. Demonstrated writing and communication skills through past client and team interaction. Demonstrated skills in math and advanced pc skills. Able to work independently and productively with little supervision. Ability to learn and develop under leadership from our National Practice Lead. Experienced with CAD, PathLoss software or any other similar path design software. Familiarity with and understanding of TDM, IP, SONET, GIGE, Mesh, SCADA, P&C, DNP, 61850. Experienced in fiber design engineering of the OSP / ISP into the substation and fiber termination, connecting to the router OGPW/DSSS, setting and meeting deliverable dates, overseeing microtrenching, permitting, job walks, bill of materials and drawings with an extensive level of detail and provide subsequent drawings to the client. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering or equivalent Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in consulting engineering to electric, gas, water, or similar industries Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or similar network-specific certifications EIT or PE highly preferred Benefits: TRC offers a competitive benefit package consisting of: Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance. 401k package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and Company match. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
