As an engineer, you will acquire telecommunication and FPGA development principles and concepts working side-by-side with industry recognized technical experts. As a FPGA Engineer you will be a vital member of the Engineering Center Technical Team and will collaborate with a broad spectrum of talented engineers to design and implement communications FPGA products.

What You Will Do:

Once FPGA training has completed, you will be assigned to a product development team focusing on the development of high-speed FPGA telecommunication applications.

As part of a product development team, you will learn how to design, implement, simulate, and synthesis FPGA functional blocks.

You will learn FPGA platform development concepts including platform architectures, synthesis, place/route, and timing closure.

You will learn how to integrate and test FPGA products in complex lab environments.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

Exposure to telecommunications and/or signal processing concepts.

Exposure in the development and documentation of FPGA applications.

Knowledge in the design and simulation of synthesizable modules using HDL programming languages such as VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog.

Exposure to FPGA development environments and FPGA development tool flows.

Exposure with working with CCA and SW development teams to interface with FPGA components.

Exposure to the resolution of FPGA integration and test issues in hands-on lab environments.

Exposure with software languages used to interface to FPGA applications (Matlab, Python, C).

Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments

The salary range for this role is 59,000 USD - 113,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
