The Child Welfare Workforce Communications Manager is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing communicative outreach, both internal and external, to workforce prospects across multiple channels.

Brand Strategy, Management, and Development Develop, execute, and manage workforce program’s brand position and strategy. Monitoring perceptions of brand within broader stakeholder groups, and tailor or adapt brand positioning accordingly. Initiate market assessment and research reviews to make and implement initiatives associated with workforce program branding. Manage public relations, reputation, and relationships across constituency groups.


Communication Strategy, Planning and Implementation Conceptualize and oversee implementations of primary communications plan. Identify strategies for accessing target audiences, message progression, and communication channel structure. Create and develop content, including writing press releases, press kits, website content, and social media copy. Distribute communication materials to program stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the general community.
Supervision & Oversight Oversee the performance and efficiency of tasks completed by communications staff, interns, and contractors/vendors. Supervise workload capacity of communications personnel, including quality of work and project completion, and monitoring of external communications. Advise and guide internal stakeholders on social media posts, print media, interview standards and order departmental marketing materials and swag. Oversee and track marketing budget Supervise program brand ambassador program
Evaluation and Assessment of Communication Processes Plan, implement, and assess evaluation of communication strategies. Assess channel performance, to include email, social media, and other communicative engagements. Adhere to selected and relevant emerging trends and best-practices associated with communication endeavors. Prepare detailed media activity reports.
