The Communication Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies across all internal channels and GP1 social media, crafting messaging that aligns with Group 1’s brand. This person will manage communications to help maintain a positive and vibrant culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with Group 1’s goals, including key messages, target audiences and communication channels. Establish and drive a multi-channel communications strategyContent Creation: Write and edit internal communications, social media posts and other communication materials. Collaborate with leadership to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. Develop the Group 1 brand voice and maintain brand integrity across all platforms. Assist in the creation of digital, video, audio and print contentCrisis Communication: Execute communication plans to manage reputational issues during emergencies. Group 1 also has external agency support for crisis communicationsBrand Management: Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels, maintaining brand identity and integrityInternal Communications: Develop and manage internal communication strategies to keep employees informed about company updates, initiatives, and policiesSocial Media Management: Develop Group 1’s social media presence, develop content calendars and execute strategyMetrics and Analysis: Track key communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns and identify areas for improvement Future Facing: Engage with Group 1 vision, develop, and implement new and creative channels and content that supports engagement strategies, company strategies and corporate objectives
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field Experience working in global or national multi-office environment and collaborating with team members in different officesExcellent written and verbal communication skills. A passion for writing and for helping people become clearer communicatorsStrong strategic thinking and planning abilitiesIdeally has collaborated with HR on messaging around benefits, and other employee perksProven experience in crisis communicationsDeep understanding of digital and social media platformsAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsDemonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologiesUnderstand principles of copywriting, graphic design, layout and publishingFamiliarity with social media platforms and social media marketingImpeccable copywriting and copy-editing abilities
