Communications Manager - Holding Co Administration

SUMMARY:

Responsible for playing a critical role in articulating our mission and vision, supporting our strategy and embodying our Pledge of exceptional customer experiences, soundness and stability, accountability, respect and stewardship in every message we craft. Responsible for reaching internal and external audiences with communications plans that deliver results through relevant content, sharp messaging and strategic execution. Assists in building and maintaining effective communication channels, including digital and social, face-to-face and print. Creative ideas are valued, complemented by strategic thinking and a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality that drives initiatives forward.

Flexibility to travel up to 25% throughout our WesBanco footprint.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and implements communication strategies to support WesBanco’s business goals, reinforcing our brand positioning as a regional financial.

Innovates platforms and processes to reach key audiences, including employees, recruits, customers and media.

Creates and distributes content to proactively tell the company’s story across all channels, written, video, and face-to-face to engage those key audiences.

Supports WesBanco’s digital and social media presence, building impactful followership and engaging employees and community partners as WesBanco ambassadors.

Helps to protect WesBanco’s reputation through proactive crisis management plans and community relations strategies.

Collaborates with company leadership and cross-functional teams to implement effective communications in support of change leadership initiatives.

In addition to corporate-wide responsibilities, supports business line leaders in driving business line strategies through communications.

Regularly assesses and implements the appropriate measures that test the effectiveness of WesBanco’s communication channels, initiatives, and tools.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank’s policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
