Huntington is seeking a Payments Communications Manager to support the strategic communications objectives for its Enterprise Payments business.
This highly visible role will be responsible for assessing, developing and executing internal and external strategic communications programs and initiatives. This role will be instrumental in educating and engaging key stakeholders including media, colleagues and partners about Huntington’s payment strategy and capabilities.
The successful candidate is a strategic thinker and strong communicator who is proactive, detailed oriented and who will bring a creative approach to payments communications —and contribute across a range of appropriate communication channels. You will have the opportunity to be an immediate contributor on a team of communication strategists, media experts and content creators.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to write for various audiences and have experience in communications, public relations, and financial services. Knowledge of the payments industry preferred. This role requires experience in managing relationships with executive leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic communications plans and initiatives that tell a consistent and holistic story of Huntington’s payments business prioritiesProvide strategic counsel to Enterprise Payments leaders, including messaging and content creation, assessing thought leadership opportunities, sourcing media training, staffing interviews and measuring communication effectivenessDevelop external communications, including press releases, media pitches, communication briefs and talking pointsDraft internal communications including executive communications, organizational announcements, quarterly updates and articles for Huntington’s corporate intranetCollaborate across Corporate Communications and other business line partners to create content that engages internal and external audiencesApply communication strategies including writing, editing and presentation development for complex payments concepts and translate for internal and external audiencesSupport communications and media opportunities for payments trade shows and industry eventsUnderstand Huntington’s priorities, key business issues and industry trendsOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications or public relations preferred5+ years of related experiencePreferred Qualifications:
