Communications & Marketing Specialist - Advantus Health Partners

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Communications & Marketing Specialist executes the tactics required by Advantus’ overall strategy, as related to internal and external communications, consumer engagement, and brand positioning. The Communications & Marketing Specialist will work closely with leadership, peers, and internal and external groups and provide systematic and tactical recommendations for ensuring effective marketing and communications to support AHP’s strategic plans.

Essential Job Functions:

Implements marketing responsibilities within an omnichannel strategy for enhancing revenue growth and delivering on Advantus’ value proposition.

Enhances consumer engagement that delivers upon the Advantus’ value proposition by successfully implementing strategies.

Supports various supply chain departments by executing defined marketing and communication strategies.

Remains apprised to new developments in the healthcare landscape and can apply marketing strategies to complement Advantus Health Partners position in the industry

Champions and grows current business streams through strategic messaging Adheres to the operational budget that supports marketing and communication objectives.

Acts as client services relationship manager to operational partners at a project level.

Writes, designs and edits marketing and communications collateral (e.g. announcements, newsletters, talking points, training materials, and other work product) for a diverse and geographically dispersed audience.

Assists in the design and management of the strategy, tactics, and analysis of Advantus’ proprietary information to ensure communication goals and objectives are met and the providers’ perception is equal to the intent of the message.

Attends system and local meetings, task forces, and other work groups related to Advantus’ networks as a partner and key resource to develop a solid understanding of the unique cultures within the organization and in the external environment.

Education

Bachelors, Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (required)

Masters, Marketing Communications (preferred)

Work Experience

1 year of experience in Communications and/ or Marketing (required)

3 years of experience in Communications and/or Marketing (preferred)

Experience with analytics software (Google Analytics, social platforms, etc.) (preferred)

Experience with SEO, paid advertising, email interfaces, automation services (preferred)
