We are seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to join the Amentum Communications team on the JSC Engineering, Technology & Science (JETS) II contract. This position will work directly with the Propulsion & Power Division within the Engineering Directorate at NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) to create content for various deliverables across internal departments. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and have the ability to create numerous types of technical content for internal and external audiences.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Specialist to join the team
The Communications Specialist will\:
Create and deliver Weekly Activity Report articles for the division, including working directly with technical subject matter experts, writing and reviewing content, and delivering final products. Collect, create, and write content for annual report magazine, working directly with the division leadership and creative professionals. Proactively work with each department/branch within the division to solicit new ideas for presentation material for upcoming conferences, technical interchange meetings, or other related events. Coordinates each week to ensure photos and videos are scheduled to capture the work taking place within the division, including design reviews, meetings, hardware fabrication, and testing. Meets every other week with division management as part of communications meeting to status products. Keep track of and manage projects utilizing project management software. Help coordinate tours of facilities within the division facilities for interested parties. Proactively keep content on all marketing materials up to date. Work closely with creative professionals to curate various media for the division. Create and manage division content for internal and external websites. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and normally possess 3 years of work experience.
