What you'll do...
Serve as a strategic communications expert to customer-facing functions, ensuring alignment with company priorities and enhancing the customer experience. Plan and deliver proactive, customer-focused communication strategies, including change management plans, internal/external announcements, customer newsletters, and presentations. Anticipate questions and proactively provide updates to internal and external teams. Apply strategic thinking to identify appropriate messages, customer segments, and platforms to maximize engagement, comprehension, and action. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Business Units, Supply Chain, and Customer Success teams to craft clear and compelling high-quality customer communications appropriately tailored to the audience. Measure the effectiveness of communications through feedback and data and use the information to improve future communications. Continuously track and improve communication strategies using data analysis. Act as a champion collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the execution of Dart’s corporate brand and consistent messaging across all customer touchpoints. Lead efforts to support the company during customer-related crisis or emergency communication events, preparing and executing customer-facing crisis communication plans to ensure timely, transparent, and effective outreach. Support the Request for Information (RFI) team through coordination and dissemination of information requested by customers. Ensure messaging resonates with diverse customer demographics, including cultural nuances and language considerations where applicable. Use tools like Salesforce, PowerBI or SAP to gather data and reports. Maintain a centralized repository of company’s internal communication tools and customer-facing materials to ensure consistent access to accurate and up-to-date content. Approach all communication challenges with a solutions-driven mindset, focusing on how to best address customer pain points.
What you'll need...
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field Four (4) years’ professional experience developing and executing strategic external communications in a business environment; experience in manufacturing or customer-focused industries preferred. Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team-centered environment Exceptional verbal and written communications skills Writing, editing and project management experience with a variety of print and online media (internally and externally focused) Experience creating engaging customer-facing materials across print and digital channels. Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel with strong skills in creating documents, presentations, and reports/spreadsheets (including V/X lookups, analytics and pivot tables). Strong system user knowledge with ability to pull accurate reporting out of Power BI and SAP. Experience with available design tools to create customer-facing visual content. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all messaging and formatting. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
